Redditch D-Day Remembrance Service

A D-Day Remembrance Service will be held in Redditch on Saturday 6th June 2026, marking 82 years since the D-Day landings of 6 June 1944, one of the most significant moments of the Second World War.
The service will also recognise 105 years of the Royal British Legion in Redditch and its continued work supporting veterans and their families.

The event will take place at the Gardens of Remembrance on Plymouth Road. Attendees are asked to gather at 12:45pm, with the service beginning at 1pm. The service will include an Act of Remembrance and the laying of wreaths in honour of those who served and sacrificed.
Organised by the Redditch Branch of the Royal British Legion, the service is open to veterans, families, residents and visitors who wish to pay their respects and reflect on both the events of D-Day and the legacy that followed.
