Event submission terms

The Ditch welcomes local event submissions from venues, businesses, charities, community groups, organisers and residents. Our events guide is intended to help people find local activities, community events, markets, live music, open days, fundraising events and other things to do across Redditch and the surrounding area.

Events may be included at our discretion. Submission does not guarantee publication, and The Ditch reserves the right to edit, decline, delay, remove or update listings where necessary.

The Ditch does not generally promote events that are primarily political, protest based, campaigning focused, or linked to a divisive public issue. This is to avoid giving one side of a public debate, campaign or political cause an uneven platform through the general events guide.

The Ditch may decline event submissions that:

• Are primarily political, campaigning or protest based.
• Are likely to create division rather than provide a general community benefit.
• Promote hostility, harassment, intimidation or unlawful behaviour.
• Do not provide clear details, including organiser, location, date, time and contact information.
• Appear misleading, inaccurate or incomplete.
• Are not relevant to Redditch or the surrounding area.
• Do not fit with The Ditch’s editorial standards or community guidelines.

Event organisers are responsible for ensuring the details they provide are accurate and up to date. This includes the event name, date, time, venue, price, booking details, accessibility information, age restrictions, organiser details and cancellation information.

The Ditch is not responsible for event changes, cancellations, booking issues, ticket disputes, venue changes, price changes or losses arising from reliance on an event listing.
